  Communicating with audiences

Good communications are at the heart of so much marketing and audience development activity, and both internal and external communication are vital in planning and delivery.

Training in managing channels of communication is available through a number of sources and will be highlighted on this site shortly. Marketing communications specifically in attender and participant terms, is an element also of the Thinking Big programme.

Thinking Big is an Arts Council funded publication and Arts Marketing Association training module written and developed by Stephen Cashman. Members of all three audience development agencies in the South East are trained deliverers of this programme.

ADSE will also, through a variety of programme activities and collaborations, aim to help cultural organisations spread their message more widely throughout the region.

For example, the amh-managed website, www.familywhatson.com, has been extended as a regional support for the Family Friendly programme.

If you can volunteer access to any similar generic communication channels, please contact ADSE or Arts Council England South East.
