  ADSE activity to date includes:

An audit of audience development needs among Arts Council England, South East' s regularly funded organisations.

Training and skills research investigating the need for a modular training programme for the region.

A partnership project with the Audio Description Association, Carousel and Stopgap to develop profile and standards in audio description in the South East.

The South East regional roll out of the Maximise programme, aiming to extend audiences and support for black and minority ethnic programming.

Involvement in establishing the best mechanism for market intelligence provision for the region, in dialogue with the Audience Data UK(www.aduk.org) programme and with amh's Arts Index South East project managers.

A cross-sectoral approach to making cultural organisations throughout the region Family Friendly in thought, word and deed, with a focus on intergenerational learning and entertainment.

Publication of online 'How to' guides to audience development, including market intelligence capture, research and evaluation.

The first of these: A Guide to Best Practice in Audience Development, written by James Gough, director of amh, is now available.
